Plain terms for a free program.

Ham Browser is published by Andrei Ivanoff (KO4ZHL), an individual trading as Ham Browser, 1535 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70112, United States. “We” and “us” below mean that person. By installing or using Ham Browser you agree to these terms.
Ham Browser is free to download and free to use, for personal use and for the use of a club or a group station. You may install it on as many computers as you operate. You may not sell it, charge for it, or redistribute a modified copy as though it were ours.
The software contains open-source components under their own licences, which continue to govern those components — see Credits & Licenses. Nothing here limits any right those licences give you.
An account is optional and free. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what is done under your callsign. Your logged contacts remain yours: export them as ADIF whenever you like, and ask us to delete the account and its data whenever you like.
We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service, to send bulk unsolicited mail, or to impersonate another operator’s callsign.
Ham Browser can key a transmitter and change a radio’s settings. Everything it transmits, it transmits under your callsign and on your responsibility. You remain the control operator: your licence conditions, your band plan and your local regulations are yours to observe, and it is your job to be able to stop a transmission. Automatic and remote operation are permitted in some countries and restricted in others. Check before you rely on them.
The Radio Programmer writes to the memory of a physical radio. Read your radio before you write to it, and keep the file. We cannot be responsible for a radio left in an unusable state, for settings written outside the bands you are licensed for, or for a cable or driver that misbehaves.
Logbook of The World, eQSL, QRZ.com, Parks on the Air, the DX cluster, map providers and your own mail and AI providers are run by other people under their own terms. We connect to them on your behalf; we do not control them and cannot promise they will be available or correct.
Ham Browser is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any log, confirmation or upload will succeed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost contacts, lost logs, lost awards or damaged equipment, arising from the use of or inability to use the software. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the software, which is nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows, and nothing here affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the software after a change means accepting it. The software itself changes too, and features may be added or withdrawn.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
